Would anyone know a website where I could listen to Garcia's version of Accidentally Like a Martyr. It's on a boxed set I would never buy,but I would love to hear it.

Don't worry, J's a little sensitive today as we water-boarded him earlier for not saluting fast enough. He's almost over it.

Have to agree with Johnny here – any fan of Jerry would be seriously missing out not owning a copy of All Good Things. As said, the extras are plentiful. Even though Deborah doesn’t need our hard earned money I myself would scrabble change together to buy it. (Fortunately for me my wife gave it to me as a gift back when she still liked me.) Jerry’s take on Martyr is superb. You can listen to it here – expand the list “See all tracks”

I find it a little worrying that 'customers who bought this also bought' 3 Dire Straits albums.

And what's so wrong with Dire Straits? I can still remember being blown away when Charlie Gillett first played them back in 77.

Oh I wouldn't knock the early days, I saw them in playing in a rowing club on the banks of the Trent in Nottingham in '77 about the time Peel started playing 'Sultans'. Just before the 1st album came out, and there were only about 25 people there. I have the first two albums, but I think that's enough. I don't think I could ever have enough Jerry.

I got a little bit further - the last Straits album I bought was Love Over Gold but I have to admit it's been a long time since I felt like listening to any of it. Knopfler is a very fine guitar player though, I really enjoyed the stuff he was doing with Emmylou a couple of years back for instance.

I like Knopfler's playing, and the fact that he takes on all sorts of different projects. Seems like a nice guy too, I saw an interview with him where he explained the absolute pointlessness of reforming Straits for a 'greatest hits' tour.

Knopfler lifted Dylans "Infidels" to something special, credit where credits due.

Had to look that up – Charlie Gillett’s Honky Tonk show on BBC – first to play and promote Sultans of Swing on the radio?
Mark Knopfler sure plays a fine sounding guitar….

awesome version! If you would never buy it you don't deserve to listen

just kidding - no I'm not. Seriously for 55 or whatever it is there is way value for your money. Every album has just about another albums worth of bonus maerial and alot of it is good enough to be it's own album. You get five albums that are double in length and a bonus cd on top of that ( which is the one that has that tune on it )

but i do have to say Jerry doing that song is spectacular and perfect
